1. The service

HostingChecker is a free, public web tool operated by DIGITAL WOLF s.r.o. that probes a submitted domain to identify its hosting provider, CDN, SSL issuer, DNS configuration and CMS. The service is provided "as-is", with no warranty of accuracy, fitness for purpose, or uptime.

Detection is heuristic. Results can be wrong: CDN edges can mask the origin host, ASN reassignments can mislabel networks, server fingerprints can be spoofed or removed. Do not treat a HostingChecker result as authoritative for legal, commercial or contractual purposes without independent verification.

2. Acceptable use

The anonymous tier is rate-limited to 3 lookups per IP per 24 hours. Automated scraping in excess of this limit is not permitted.

For programmatic access, use the public JSON API at /api/v1/check. The API is subject to the same per-IP rate limit. Sustained abuse may result in an IP-level block enforced at our Cloudflare edge.

3. Prohibited conduct

You agree that you will not:

• Attempt to probe domains you do not have legal authority to test.
• Deliberately submit malformed URLs or crafted inputs intended to crash, slow or otherwise impair the service.
• Use lookup results to defame, harass, dox, or unlawfully target the operators of any site.
• Circumvent the rate limit through IP rotation, distributed clients or other technical means.
• Resell or rebrand the service as your own without prior written agreement.

4. Affiliate links

Where a detected hosting provider operates an active affiliate program, outbound links from HostingChecker may carry affiliate parameters. Detection itself is never influenced by these relationships. See our affiliate disclosure for full details.

5. Intellectual property

The HostingChecker tool, its branding, source code and aggregated probe library are © DIGITAL WOLF s.r.o.. You may freely share individual lookup results — including screenshots and the JSON output for a single domain — with attribution. Wholesale republication of the feed or the aggregated probe library is not permitted without prior written consent.

6. Limitation of liability

The service is provided on a commercial-reasonable-effort basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages — including, without limitation, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to rate-limit, IP-block, or otherwise refuse service to any user who violates these terms, with or without prior notice.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Slovak courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under your local law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page, with the "Last updated" date reflecting the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
